(01) — The challenge
Diagnostic labs juggled registers, spreadsheets and generic billing tools. Payments split across visits were hard to trace, and staff permissions were all-or-nothing.
(02) — What we did
- 01Built patient management, a configurable test catalog with groups and packages, and report verification
- 02Designed an append-only payment ledger so a bill can be settled across visits with a receipt for each
- 03Added fine-grained staff roles, from receptionist to lab manager, and an administrator audit trail
- 04Packaged it as a signed desktop app with Lite/Pro editions enforced on the API, not just the UI

The work behind the outcome.
The system covers the front desk, sample and test handling, report preparation, verification and payment collection in one desktop workflow.
Edition controls let the product be sold as Lite or Pro without maintaining separate codebases or relying only on hidden UI switches.
Audit trails make payment changes, user actions and report status easy to review when owners need to reconcile day-end activity.
